The Megyn Kelly Show

A quick shout out to Megyn Kelly and her podcast show.

Megyn was a powerhouse on Fox News but like Kathy Griffin, Trump broke her. Don’t roll your eyes Megyn, it is true. We covered how the bias was set for Jeb during the debates in our article, FOX FAIR AND GOP BALANCED.

If Megyn and Chris really did prepare as much as they say they did, then it is clear there was much discussion about Trump. It is also apparent that conversation had nothing to do with Trump’s ideas, his ability nor his success. Either it simply was about what they had been instructed to do or each watches many reality TV shows. I wonder which…

Megyn like another Fox favorite, Greta Van Susteren, left the conservative network courted by their “new friends” from the left. As intelligent as both of these women are, they both fell for the bait and switch of liberals. Each lasted only months before being jettisoned by their new pals. To the best of my knowledge, neither has commented on what it was like going from Right to Left.

I’ve posted open letters to Greta’s Twitter feed asking for comment. She has said Fox never told her what to cover or how. Yet she has implied her departure from MSNBC was just for that reason. It would be nice if she had the courage to go on the record (the name of her Fox show) about the contrast.

You may remember Megyn’s peak at Fox was the first presidential debate in 2015 where she had the great intuition to not ask Trump about his success, his vision for America, his stance on Jobs or what he meant by America First… no, no her big question started:

You have called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals…

It is interesting how during the time of Trump, the whole of the United States turned into Puritan’s. All of a sudden in a world gone mad with trash on TV and in the streets, filth in movies and music, and cursing in children’s video games the elite became outraged over mean Tweets.

Megyn still holds a “Trump Fanatic” versus normal people view, but she is no longer afraid to be what she is, a Conservative Catholic. She still doesn’t understand the Passionate Trump Follower, who appreciates a man that didn’t have to run for President, was the only President that left office with less money, that wasn’t bolted to special interests, tried to do common sense improvements, made more positive impacts in his first year than most do in two terms and was attacked with false accusations from both sides for his complete term and beyond. An honest person might find some respect in that, others not so much, I guess.

With all of that background, I have to complement Megyn’s podcast. Simply put, it is very good. She is a talented interviewer and the guests and topics are always worthy of the time. If you soured on her from the past, you might be surprised that she is back to that person you once watched on The Kelly File. Not afraid to be conservative, not afraid to support Trump when she feels there is a double standard, willing to fully support mothers and women being women. She is the Kelly I remember, able to walk down the middle when the topic deserves such treatment, but no longer afraid to be who she has been.

An additional point that I shouldn’t make, but Kelly is this good on an audio podcast. Being on audio takes away one of her superpowers, her beauty. Yet it has zero impact on her talent or the enjoyment of her show. Her podcast gives voice to the real Kelly, an enjoyable and thought-provoking woman.

I close with an interesting juxtaposition. Listening to a recent episode of the The Megyn Kelly Show podcast, I got to hear the 2015 Pious Kelly hit on Father Mike Schmitz. I’m not as upset as I am jealous.
