Somethings get better with age, some don’t. Trey Gowdy has recently made a strange about face. His new surrender generated headlines like, “Trey Gowdy Demolishes Donald Trump’s SpyGate Lie: FBI Did The Right Thing Using Informant In His Campaign.” He was paraded all over MSM by stating:
“I am even more convinced that the FBI did exactly what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got, and that it has nothing to do with Donald Trump”
Mind you he never saw any evidence or point zero. He never questioned why the spy (yes, spy) was targeting only the Trump campaign, why if the Obama administration knew of Russian interference they did nothing to stop it, why it was hidden from Trump, why they didn’t put a spy in the Hillary campaign or any of the logical questions he has asked in the past.
Since Mueller found nothing, strike that… since Mueller and the deep state were unable to generate the needed “fuzz” to accuse Trump of what Hillary was actually doing, they now need a stooge to help declare an honorable victory.
In walks New Trey. Upon being told that the FBI did the right thing investigating the Trump campaign and Trump was never a target, Former Trey would have reacted differently.
Former Trey would have said, “let me get this right, it has nothing to do with Trump… you were just investigating Russian interference? Then why did the former head of the FBI, James Comey say:”
“I woke up in the middle of night on Monday night, because it didn’t dawn on me originally, there might be corroboration… So I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter,” he said.
“I didn’t do it myself for a variety of reasons, but I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel,”
Former Trey would have continued,
“I find it hard to understand why the head of the FBI would create, then leak, a memo for the purpose of creating an independent counsel. Mind you, this AFTER talking to President Trump, who was not under investigation. That just does not fit the fact pattern”
I miss Former Trey, who now sounds as conflicted as the Former FBI director.
